Comments

  1. is there ary health aspects to the brething techniques in this dvd?

  2. Is breathing through your nose the best option in a defence situation like western boxers do?

    • Hi Steve,

Not necessarily. It depends on the situation. Western Boxers use mouth guards that make it difficult or impossible to breath through the mouth. In a self defense situation you might get attacked one day while you are sick and your nose is stuffed up. Sometimes severe allergies can cause sinuses to swell and plug with fluid. There are any number of things that could keep you from breathing through your nose.

If you are really interested in the best ways to breath in a defense situation, you should pick up this video. It is a fairly comprehensive volume that contains almost two and a half hours of specific instruction on the subject.

Is your vol 17 Combat Tai Chi Breathing include detailed instruction for the Hen Ha breaths?
I have watched some of your on line videos and if I lived in your area would definitely ask to become one of your students. I have done the short frame long Yang style form for a number of years in addition to a focus on Hung Kun including Iron a Wire. Your explanation and example I see as having been traditionally and properly taught.
Thank you so much for what you have shared. If the Hen Ha instruction is in this video I will order it.

Yes, the fighting uses of Hen and Ha are taught as a part of this course, in addition to many other combat breathing techniques. If you are interested Hen and Ha training, this DVD is definitely for you. As always, I wish you much success in your training.
